Standard design
The Unique SSV Two Step, which comes in one- or two-body configurations, allows you to simply configure valve bodies, plugs, actuators, and clamp rings. For simultaneous drainage of two pipelines or in closing/filling applications, the valve can be configured as a changeover valve with up to five ports or as a shutdown valve with two to three operational ports.
The changeover version has a valve seat that can be assembled to increase flexibility. It sits between the two bodies. The valve seals’ preset compression design increases their durability and service life. A yoke joins the actuator and the valve body, and clamp rings keep everything together. To change the opening degree for the intermediate position, remove spacer rings from within the actuator.
This valve supports Alfa Laval ThinkTop V50 and V70 sensors and controllers. Almost any process requirement can be easily satisfied using the Alfa Laval Anytime configurator.
The Working Principle
The Alfa Laval Unique SSV Two Step is controlled by a pressurized air supply located some distance away. The actuator’s smooth operation facilitates dosing and filling, while an intermediate phase protects process lines from pressure peaks. The valve may be operated with an Alfa Laval ThinkTop.
