Constructed on the tried and true Unique SSV basis, it allows the entire valve body to drain when fitted near tank openings, on horizontally positioned ports, or in other situations where there is insufficient space to install the valves at other angles. The minimal moving parts assure ease of maintenance, high reliability and a low total cost of ownership. Its comprehensive range of supplementary features allows it to be adapted to the needs of certain procedures. When floor space is limited in sanitary environments such as the food, beverage, dairy and brewing industries, this one of a kind SSV Tangential provides full body drainability.

Standard Design
With its user-friendly valve bodies, plugs, actuator, and clamp rings, the Unique SSV Tangential valve is offered in either a one- or two-body configuration. Two or three ports allow the valve to function as a shut-off valve, while three to five ports allow it to function as a changeover valve.
The valve seat, which is assembled between the two bodies in the changeover version, is supplied to ensure flexibility. The valve seals’ predetermined compression design maximizes their durability and service life. Clamp rings secure the actuator to the valve body, and a yoke connects the two. For additional sensing and control options, the Alfa Laval ThinkTop V50 and V70 can be attached to the valve. The Alfa Laval Anytime configurator makes it simple to tailor to almost any process need.
Working Principle
Compressed air is used to operate the Alfa Laval Unique SSV Tangential from a distant place. By guiding or diverting fluids, the actuator makes operations more smooth and prevents pressure peaks in process lines. An Alfa Laval ThinkTop can be used to control the valve.
