Long-lasting valve service life

A maintenance-free stainless-steel diaphragm actuator with an autoclavable construction offers excellent corrosion resistance. This ensures trouble-free operation and an extended service life.

Actuators for tight spaces and high pressure

Alfa Laval Unique DV-ST UltraPure diaphragm valves come with all-stainless-steel actuators in two configurations: regular and high-pressure. Both are offered as ATEX-certified diaphragm actuators in normally closed (NC), ordinarily open (NO), and air/air activated (A/A) configurations.

• The Alfa Laval Unique DV-ST UltraPure Slim (SS/SL) has a standard actuator that can withstand regular product pressures up to 10 bar (=100%), depending on valve size and diaphragm material. This variant is slim and compact, reducing dead legs between valves and allowing for easy installation at the right drain angle even in confined spaces. The SS/SL diaphragm actuator also includes an optional stroke limiter for flow control.
• The Alfa Laval Unique DV-ST UltraPure High Pressure (SS/HP) actuator can withstand high product pressures of up to 10 bar (=0%), depending on the diaphragm material. This SS/HP version ensures safe and robust operation in high-pressure systems.

Unique DV-ST UltraPure valve technology

The Unique DV-ST has superior valve bodies with reduced delta-ferrite content and defined sulphur levels in all forging and block valves. Two-way valves and ferrules for clamp-end bodies are forged from a single block. T- and tank-outlet valves are manufactured and machined from a single block of material. Sanitary diaphragm valves are available in a variety of styles and materials.

The aseptic diaphragm valves have a weir-type design and are available in either hard or soft PTFE compounds, with an EPDM backing or a pure EPDM diaphragm. The diaphragm valve can be operated manually or by pneumatic actuators outfitted with a variety of sensing and control devices, such as control units, position indicators, stroke limiters, and valve positioners.

All diaphragms have expiration dates and chemical monitoring, meet FDA/USP requirements, and follow TSE/ADI rules.

The diaphragm valves are complemented by Alfa Laval Q-doc, a comprehensive documentation package that offers complete transparency throughout the supply chain. This improves qualification, validation, and change control procedures while also streamlining the purchasing and installation processes.
